In online Mahjong, there are 36 variations of images in total. In addition to the dragons mentioned above, there are seasons in the game: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. Any two tiles from the Seasons series can be removed with each other. But in case of dragons you will have to click only on images of the same color: white, red and green. Another type of images is called Winds. They are grouped according to the cardinal points and are in different colors for clarity. The blue Wind can be removed only at the same time with a blue one, not with red or green one.
Another thematic group: flowers and plants. Like the seasons, each plant tile can be removed along with any other tile from this list: Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, Plum, and Orchid. They all denote floral symbols popular in Asian cultures.
Finally, the rest of the tiles belong to the largest type. They correspond to the minor arcana of the deck of playing cards. Thus, Mahjong Titans HTML5 has four "suits" with different numerical values too. The number on the tile varies from 2 to 9. The "Suits" are represented by barrels, chains, bamboos, and legions. Numerical bamboos are difficult to confuse with the Bamboo tile from the plant series. It is logical that the tiles of this type are also removed in pairs when matching not only by the "suit", but also by the numerical value. That is, two of legions can be removed together with another two of legions, not with two of chains.
Do not be afraid to make a mistake during the game. Online Mahjong just will not allow you to remove the tiles not according to the rules. You don't have to remember all the names either: just be guided by the similarity of the images on the tiles.
There are simpler and more complicated tableau layouts. Turtle is one of those from which you can begin to get acquainted with the Mahjong game. And yet, this layout is often difficult even for experienced online solitaire players.
The game is designed so that you can select only those tires that border on the other tile only with one of their sides: the right or left. If a tile is "sandwiched" on its sides by two tiles having other images, the game simply won't allow you to remove that tile. At the same time, if a tile is adjacent to other tiles on top or bottom, then such proximity will not affect the ability of the tile to move.
You can't pull the bottom positions from the stack of tiles, since the game just won't let you do that. You can only remove the tile on the top of the stack that does not border other tiles on its level on both sides: left and right.
